Sandblast nozzle UDC-6AC is a venturi style tool with 3/8″ bore and 1″ entry. Sandblast nozzle UDC-6AC is light weight and features our EZ Grip thermoplastic jacket with 1-1/4″ fine threads. Our range of Sandblasting nozzles are also available with metal threads take a look at the UDLB-6BA NOZZLE.
Tungsten carbide sandblast nozzles can be used with a wide range of standard abrasives.

Wear resistant Sandblasting nozzles increase a sandblasting system’s output pressure as well as accelerating and targeting the abrasive blast stream. The carbide sandblast nozzle has an internal Venturi profile. The nozzle geometry can increase blast pattern size along with abrasive velocity which results in increased kinetic energy . It is the amount of kinetic energy that effects the abrasive particles impact efficiency on the work surface (compared to a straight bore nozzle).
Some examples of sandblasting applications include shipyard painting, steel cleaning and profiling. Some steel surface preparation processes include, (1) Dry Blast cleaning using dry abrasives such as coal slag, garnet, aluminum oxide to clean and add profiles to steel. (2) Shot Blasting machines that propel blast cleaning media (e.g. steel shot) using centrifugal force created by a mechanical spinning device. (3) Soda Blast Cleaning uses formulated bicarbonate of soda to clean softer surfaces e.g building walls, aluminum surfaces etc. (4) Wet or slurry blasting is used where dust control is needed especially when surface being blasted has hazardous contaminants.
