Description
Most Abrasive flow reducer for small nozzles, converts to Contractor threads
Abrasive flow reducer. converts nozzles with 3/4″ npsm male threads for use with nozzle holders with coarse 50mm female threads. Reducer has a tungsten carbide liner for additional wear resistance. Adapter steps down abrasive flow spread to match narrow entrances found on smaller nozzles. Examples of smaller nozzles with small entrances and 3/4″ NPSM threads are ATV, UT and Banana Nozzles.
We recommend that Banana nozzles use an abrasive flow reducer /adapter to step down abrasive’s spread from hose I.D. dimensions to nozzle entrance size. We do not recommend using a thread converter on small nozzles to make them fit a large I.D. nozzle holder ( 1-1/4″ or contractor threads). A plain thread adapter will not reduce abrasive flow dimensions from hose to nozzle entrance and will mean that the grit will be hitting this nozzle entrance and cause excessive wear.
To adapt a small nozzle with 3/4″ NPSM threads to fit 1-1/4″ fine threaded holders see our TA-CB2-114 adapter.

Sandblasting Nozzle Threads:
Sand blasting nozzles are available with several thread specifications. The most common are:
- Most industrial blast cleaning nozzles in the USA have 1-1/4″ NPSM straight threads.
- Most industrial grit blasting nozzles outside North America have 2″ UNC, 50 mm / contractor threads.
- 3/4″ NPSM threads are found on smaller nozzles for cabinet and spot blasting. These are straight threads not tapered.
