Everblast Nozzle Bore Gauge is used to measure the size of a nozzle’s bore by inserting probe into nozzle cavity to take a bore measurement.
Shown on gauge are:
- Bore sizes in 1/16” increments.
- CFM needed to produce 100 psi nozzle exit pressure for a given bore size.
- Bore sizes in mm.
Gauge conveniently holds a grease pencil* for coating gauge so a measurement can be taken. Coating should be applied to gauge starting at original bore size and working up to next bore size. E.G. if nozzle was purchase with 3/8” bore, coat bore gauge from 3/8” up to 7/16”. When gauge is inserted in to bore of nozzle and rotated, the wall of nozzle’s bore will leave a mark in the grease pencil coating. This mark will show you current bore size. If bore measurement is 1/16” or greater than original bore of nozzle, you should consider changing your carbide nozzle to maintain optimum blast cleaning performance.
*Grease Pencil is stored in a specially designed housing at top of gauge.
