Thread adapter for banana nozzle:

Banana nozzle Thread adapter,  used for adapting  3/4″ NPSM threads to 1-1/4″ NPSM. This carbide-lined adapter channels abrasive flow from the hose to match the entrance size of the Banana nozzle or other nozzles with 3/4″ NPSM threads like our ATV or UT nozzles.  The adapter has a heavy-duty, straight bore, tungsten carbide liner for funneling abrasive down to the entrance size of the banana nozzle. Using this adapter is recommended, as it helps with reducing the size of the abrasive flow to match the entrance of the banana nozzle. This is a useful tool to have in your kit in addition to standard angle nozzles.   This adapter can also be used with any 3/4″ NPSM threaded nozzle to convert them to 1-1/4″ NPSM threads.  Also available without a tungsten carbide liner.

The simple answer is to look at your compressor’s air output and how to use available air to select the best size of the sandblasting nozzle to maximize blast cleaning productivity. Most efficient blast cleaning systems will need sufficient compressed air to supply continually at least 95 to 100 PSI at the blast cleaning nozzle. There are situations where less forceful blast cleaning may be needed using softer abrasives, under these circumstances, a lower nozzle psi might be acceptable.
